How to change WiFi network name and password
This guide will walk you through how to update the basic parameters of your WiFi network using our iOS or Android app.
Connect your device to an AC power outlet using the included power adapter
Then, switch the power button to the ON position (–)

When the device has completed its startup procedure, its SYS LED indicator (see image below) will change from orange to green.

Download the Ooma Connect mobile app:
from the App Store (for iPhone or iPad)
from the Play Store (for Android devices)
Or, manually, go to the App/Play Store and search for Ooma Connect.
Ooma has multiple apps, make sure you download the right app (see the icon below).

The experience across iOS and Android platforms is almost identical. The only difference, - one extra permission that iOS users will need to provide during the setup.
The iOS app needs a permission to ‘find and connect to devices on your local network,’ which is necessary for changing Wi-Fi settings.
There are two ways to grant this mandatory permission:
You can tap on the 'Go to Settings' on the pop-up when the app asks for it -> enable the Local Network permission
Go to the iPhone Settings app -> scroll all the way down to the Apps -> find Ooma Connect in the list of apps -> enable the Local Network permission

Step A: open Ooma Connect app and tap on 'Connect 3000's WiFi settings'
Step B-1: the next screen shows instructions on what to do next. You will need open smartphone's Settings app and go to WiFi section.
Step B-2: (inside WiFi section of your phone's Settings app) look for a network that starts with 'GTC'. Connect to it. Default password is located behind a cover of the back side of your Ooma Connect.

Step C: return back to the Ooma Connect app. Tap Continue.
Step D-1: (if Local Network permission is enabled AND you're connected to Ooma Connect's wireless network), you will appear on the Login screen.
Type admin (all lower case!) in the user name field.
Enter default password for your Ooma Connect unit (it is the same password that we've used at the step B-2, you can find it on the back side of the unit).
Step D-2: tap on 'Quick WiFi'

Step D-3: On this screen, you can change parameters of your WiFi network.
Pick a network, type a desired name in the 'WiFi Name (SSID)' field.
Type a desired password in the 'WiFi Password' field. We recommend using at least 10 characters.
Tap 'Save'.
Step D-4: A confirmation dialogue will appear. Tap 'Yes' to apply changes.
At this point, your Ooma Connect will start the reboot cycle.
Wait a few minutes until LED indicators on the unit turn green.

Congratulations! Your Wi-Fi network is now updated.
If you ever need to make changes again, just follow these steps.
